Part-time order picker

Grocery shopping is getting more and more expensive, but what if you could get paid for it? That would be great! That is possible as an order picker at Briggs & Stratton!

As an order picker at Briggs & Stratton you go shopping in the warehouse with your scanner in your hand, with plenty of time in between to chat with your colleagues. You study the orders and make sure that the right parts are collected together, you put them in the cart and check if everything you need is actually on your cart. Then you go to the packing station and make sure that the orders are packed and made ready for shipment. You are therefore involved in both picking, unloading and preparing the orders for shipment. A nice all-round job!

The shifts are from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 19:15. An early riser? Go for the morning shifts. Sleeping in or going to school first? Go for the afternoon shifts. You choose whether you work in the morning or late afternoon.

As a logistics employee (logistiek medewerker) at Briggs the following terms of employment apply:

• Temporary work or a permanent job? It is all possible!
• A contract for a definite period of time;
• The choice to be paid weekly or 4-weekly on Friday. That's a nice way to start the weekend!
• A salary of €10.25 (21+) excluding vacation allowance (8.33%) and vacation hours (10%) and with growth opportunities.

What are the growth opportunities?
The longer you work, but also the more you work, the more you will earn! You will start in the Junior Orderpicker pool. There are three different scales to which you can grow. You start as a Junior Orderpicker, after 250 worked hours you will be promoted to Junior Orderpicker Plus (€11,02 per hour), and after 400 worked hours and one year in service you will grow to full-fledged Orderpicker (€11,83 per hour)!

To qualify as a warehouse employee at this modern but also informal company, it is important that you:

• Be available for at least six months;
• Be available to work at least 10 hours per week;
• You need to be able to work at least 2 shifts per week;
• You can specify your weekly availability (so nice and flexible!);
• You know how to get to work but you can also work accurately;
• You like to be part of a nice and informal team.

In Wijchen, near Nijmegen, one of the six distribution centers is located from where Europe, the Middle East and Africa are served. Most customers are located in Europe. You are going to help in the warehouse where you will put the incoming products from the reception area in the appropriate boxes. In addition, you will assist in preparing all outgoing goods for shipment.
