Every day in the hospitality industry is different, of course, but here you already have an idea of what a day could look like:
You go to the work floor and stand there ready to receive all guests, after all you are the business card of the restaurant. When the guests are seated you walk up to them to take their order, you have a short talk and advise them about the most delicious dishes on the menu. Then you walk to the kitchen and collect the food and drinks. You bring this back to the table of your guests. After they have enjoyed the food and drinks, you stand at the table to handle the payment. Finally, you help in the kitchen and restaurant with all the preparations along with your colleagues. Your workday is done, and you go home with a satisfied feeling.
