A business controller analyzes/reports and improves TIM (Total Investment to Market) structure and is responsible for managing others. Contributes in monthly forecasting cycle in forecasting sales deduction by product group. You are able to identify and explain trends in the profit and loss statement (P&L) by customer by product group. You operate as a financial business partner for the division according to the guidelines of the organization in order to achieve an optimal result.
Try to secure a healthy P&L by main focus on TIM (sales deduction / marketing expenses)
Manage, monitor and control the sales deductions (based on received Year Agreements) - and marketing budgets in line with the rules and regulations of the company in order to prevent overspending and or inaccuracy.
Receive/Review non-contractual budget requests and check in comparison with the sales deduction overall budget.
Create forecast, target plan and report actual sales deductions by product group and explain variances and trends where needed.
Manage and control the budgets in line with the rules and regulations of the company. Receive the approved budget requests and check the budget: prepare reports concerning balances and status of those budgets. - Maintain close contact with Accounting / Sales / Marketing- as well as European supporting departments.
Prepare for quarterly settlement of sales deduction with customers.
Review and validate SAP sales deduction and marketing budgets / conditions created by supporting departments to also improve forecast accuracy.
Reports & Support
Create an analyze financial reports (for example marketing expense report) for management, to ensure a correct and transparent information-flow on which decisions can be made.
Filter relevant information from available data, analyze the relevant information and create reports.
Act as business partner and support the division on financial processes such as forecasting of sales deductions (participates in monthly forecasting cycle and month end procedure) and follow-up on conditions.
Identify opportunities for TIM improvement in close cooperation with all liaisons.
Wie ben je?
You have a Bachelor degree, e.g. Business Analysis;
you have at least 3 to 5 years experience as business controller and have a financial background;
you have strong analytic skills and would like to develop as Business Analyst;
you’re a self-starter with a strong initiative and the creativity on data minding;
your communication skills are competent and adaptable (fluency in English);
you are determined, flexible and van work with tight deadlines;
you have experience with Excel and creating reports;
knowledge of big data.
